オリエント急行の東南アジア版が、イースタン＆オリエンタル・エクスプレス。本来シンガポールとバンコクを結んでおり、オリエント急行の依頼で撮影した時の写真です。アメリカやヨーロッパからの乗客が多くいらっしゃいました。長年の夢を叶えるまでのエピソードなど、彼らとの会話も興味津々！佐藤美子写真家は執筆もするので、重層的イメージが膨らんだことは間違いありません。「贅沢」だけで語って欲しくないのです。

Eastern & Oriental Express originally ran from Singapore to Bangkok. The photographs were shot on assignment. Passengers even came from the U.S.A. and Europe. It was fun to talk to the passengers who had each story till their dream came true！
