「おめでとう」という言葉に相応しくないことが、起こり続けています。心苦しいニュース多数。どのように自分の心と折り合いをつければ良いのでしょうか。

ミャンマーで、（色々と気を配ることはあったものの）静かで穏やかな時間を満喫していた頃の写真です。小舟に乗せてもらって、エーヤワディー川沿岸を撮影しました。高層ビル群が苦手な自分にぴったりの、心地よい場所でした。

At the beginning of the year, we greet “a happy new year.” However, sending a heartful, warm message to a person with us is appropriate. Nevertheless, it doesn’t involve the meaning “World is fine.” I know so many citizens feel extremely stressed relating to the situation in Palestine and Myanmar.

I shot this photograph on the fishing boat where I had been shooting the Ayeyarwadi River. The fisherman was gentle. When one says “it is a good memory,” it means “I liked and respected people and culture there,” from my point of view.
